Larry Nguyen (Bridgewater Twp., NJ) says he's been "lucky" early in this tournament and is riding the wave to the unofficial chip lead. Nguyen has 160k after flopping the nut flush against pocket jacks to win a 50k pot.
He also takes down a 40k pot when he hits a set of 7s on a 4 club board. "He only bet three-thousand," says Nguyen about the turn bet. "For that price I'll try and hit a boat." The board pairs on the river and Nguyen's opponent moves all-in with a 9 high flush, which is far from the nuts.
85 players remain as Level 8 (400/800/75 ante) is underway.
