Despite the fact that the Ladies event starts at noon today, a handful of Ladies have opted to play this event instead. Among those is Joanne Monteavaro, (Bronx, NY) a regular on the tournament scene here at the Borgata.
Joanne finished 4th in the Double Play event here last month ($6,783) and has lifetime tournament earnings approaching $190,000. No wonder she chose to play in the bigger buy-in event!
Tom DobrilovicAlso spotted in the crowd today is Tom Dobrilovic (West Nyack, NY). Tom has lifetime tournament earnings over $800,000 including 6 cashes and one final table at the WSOP.
Ed Corrado (Naples, FL) is back again today taking another shot at the much younger field. He failed to cash in yesterday's event, but doesn't let that stop him!
